“DRUG-FREE TAMIL NADU” – ANTI-DRUG AWARENESS PROGRAMME

Programme Overview

As per Government of Tamil Nadu, and the initiative of The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, S. Thangapazham College of Nursing organized a “Drug-Free Tamil Nadu – Anti-Drug Awareness Programme” to create awareness among students regarding the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse and to promote a healthy and drug-free lifestyle. With the guidance and support of STgroup of institutions chairman mr.s.thangapazham, secretary Mr.murugesan&Director mr.subramani entire programme event make it with success.college of nursing principal prof.Leelavathy and vice principal Dr.sathya priya organizing the event .

Students enrolled under NSS, YRC, RRC and SNA actively participated in the programme. The programme was organized with the participation of college faculty, students and local authorities.

6Meme CreationStudents created informative and awareness-oriented memes highlighting the dangers of drug abuse.
7Awareness AddressMedical and police personnel addressed the students regarding the health, social and legal consequences of drug abuse.

  • The resource persons emphasized the health hazards, psychological consequences, social impact and legal implications of drug abuse and encouraged students to become responsible ambassadors for a drug-free society.

Outcome

The programme successfully created awareness among the students regarding prevention of drug abuse and encouraged them to adopt healthy lifestyles. The participation of NSS, YRC, RRC and SNA students strengthened the anti-drug awareness campaign and promoted the message of “Say No to Drugs” within the institution and community.

The programme concluded with a commitment from students and faculty to actively support the Drug-Free Tamil Nadu initiative and contribute towards building a healthy, responsible and drug-free society.
