Introduction

S. Thangapazham Group of Institutions celebrated Onam 2026 with great enthusiasm, joy, and traditional spirit on 23rd August 2026 from 9.00 AM to 3.00 PM. The celebration brought together the management, principals, faculty members, and students from all the institutions under the S. Thangapazham Group of Institutions. Nearly 1,500 members participated enthusiastically in the grand celebration.

Onam Celebration and Activities

The celebration  commenced with various traditional Onam games and entertaining activities. The major events included Uriyadi, Tug of War, Athapookalam competition, Maveli with Chenda Melam, fusion songs, attractive popper effects, and several other festive activities.

The competitive games created great excitement and encouraged active participation and team spirit among the students and faculty members. The winners of the various competitions were felicitated and awarded prizes in appreciation of their talent, enthusiasm, and participation.

Cultural Programme

The cultural programme added colour and vibrancy to the celebration. Students presented a variety of colourful dances, traditional Onam dances, fusion songs, and other cultural performances. The performances were highly appreciated by everyone and created a joyful and festive atmosphere throughout the programme.

The cultural events were also presented through live YouTube streaming, providing an opportunity for the celebration to reach a wider audience. The attractive stage presentations, music, dance performances, and popper effects made the event highly enjoyable and memorable.

Onam Feast

The programme concluded with a special Onam feast arranged for all the participants. The management made excellent arrangements to provide food for the entire gathering. The traditional feast added to the festive spirit and brought the celebration to a happy conclusion.

Overall Experience and Appreciation

The entire programme was grandly organized and thoroughly enjoyed by all the participants. The students, faculty members, principals, and management actively participated and experienced a wonderful atmosphere of happiness, unity, and togetherness.

The celebration provided an excellent opportunity for everyone to enjoy the spirit of Onam, strengthen team bonding, and appreciate Kerala’s rich cultural traditions.
