World AIDS Day was observed at S.THANGAPAZHAM COLLEGE OF NURSING with the objective of spreading awareness about HIV/AIDS and promoting preventive measures among students and the community.Theme for 2025 OVERCOMING DISRUPTION & TRANSFORMING THE AIDS RESPONSE

Students from BSc Nursing 3rd Semester, enthusiastically participated in the program. Several informative and awareness-based activities were conducted during the event.

The major activities included:

Awareness Rally: Students participated in an AIDS awareness rally around the campus and nearby areas, raising slogans to educate the community about HIV prevention and stigma reduction.

Slogan Writing: Students prepared impactful slogans focusing on AIDS awareness, transmission, and prevention.

Chart Presentation: Creative and educational charts were displayed, explaining HIV causes, modes of transmission, symptoms, treatment options, and preventive strategies.

Nukkad Natak: A street play was performed to highlight the social issues related to HIV/AIDS, dispel myths, and encourage empathy and responsible behavior.

The event was successful in enhancing students’ understanding of HIV/AIDS and contributed to strengthening public health awareness.
