S. Thangapazham Group of Institutions & college of nursing celebrated International Yoga Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and participation on 21 June 2026. The programme was organized in accordance with the International Yoga Day 2026 theme, promoting the importance of yoga for physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
The event witnessed the active participation of nearly 1000 members, including students, faculty members, principals, administrative staff, and healthcare professionals from various institutions under the S. Thangapazham Group.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Ratna Prakash, Principal, S.T. Medical College, who highlighted the significance of yoga in maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
The celebration was graced by the presence of Mr. S. Murugesan, Chairman, and Mr. Subramani, Director, S. Thangapazham Group of Institutions. All Principals, faculty members, and students actively participated in the event.
A series of yoga sessions were conducted by trained instructors, demonstrating various yoga postures, breathing exercises (Pranayama), meditation techniques, and relaxation practices. Participants enthusiastically performed all forms of yoga activities and experienced the benefits of mindful living and physical fitness.
The students of S. Thangapazham College of Nursing actively participated and showcased great interest and discipline throughout the programme.
The event received media coverage, and representatives from Puthiya Thalaimurai & win TV visited the venue and captured photographs of the celebration.
At the end of the programme, Mrs. Bharathi, CEO, S.T. Medical College, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, organizers, participants, and media representatives for making the event a grand success.
The programme concluded with the distribution of herbal tea and refreshments (heavy snacks) to all participants.
The management extended their appreciation to everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of the International Yoga Day Celebration 2026, reinforcing the message of health, harmony, and well-being through yoga.
