The Women’s Day Celebration was successfully conducted by the ST Group of Institutions on 07 March 2026 from 9.00 AM to 1.00 PM with great enthusiasm and active participation.
The event was successfully organized with the strong support and guidance of the Management Chairman, Thiru. Mr. Murugesan, and Director, Mr. Subramani, whose encouragement and leadership made the celebration a grand success.
The programme was honoured by the presence of the Chief Guest, Tmt. Abarna Devi, B.A.B.L., Judicial Magistrate, Additional Mahila Court, Srivilliputhur. She delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing women’s empowerment, leadership, and the importance of equal opportunities for women in society.
The programme began with a welcome address by Dr. Bharathi, CEO, STMC, who warmly welcomed the chief guest, special invitees, faculty members, and students. She highlighted the significance of celebrating Women’s Day and recognizing the achievements of women in various professional fields.
On this occasion, several eminent women achievers were honoured with prestigious awards for their outstanding service and contributions:
- Women Legal Luminary Award was presented to Mrs. Thahira Begam, Advocate, Tenkasi, for her remarkable achievements and dedication in the legal profession.
- Women Excellence Award was presented to Dr. Sethuramani, HOD, Department of Pharmacy, MMC, Madurai, in recognition of her excellence in academic leadership and pharmaceutical education.
- Women Excellence Award was also presented to Dr. Malathy Syamala, Medical Superintendent, Naturopathy Medical College, Hyderabad, for her dedicated service and contribution to the field of healthcare and naturopathy.
- Healing Hand Excellence Award was presented to Mrs. Alamelu Mangayarkarasi, Staff Nurse, Government Hospital, Srivilliputhur, for her compassionate service and remarkable contribution to patient care.
- Dr. M.S. Swaminathan Women Agricultural Award was presented to Mrs. Mano Ranjitham, PA (Agriculture) to the District Collector, for her outstanding contribution and achievements in the field of agriculture.
All the honoured guests shared their inspiring experiences and motivational messages with the students, encouraging them to pursue their goals with confidence, dedication, and commitment.
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mrs. Kaliselvi, Principal, Law College, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, awardees, organizing committee, faculty members, and students for making the programme a grand success.
Following the formal programme, cultural performances and sports events were conducted by various departments, which added joy and enthusiasm to the celebration.
The management of the ST Group of Institutions graciously arranged a grand lunch for all the participants. Nearly 900 women participants from various departments attended the programme and made the event vibrant and memorable.
The celebration concluded successfully, leaving a lasting impression and inspiring all participants to continue striving for excellence and empowerment.
