A Voter Awareness Programme was conducted on 23rd January 2026 with the aim of creating awareness among students about the importance of voting and democratic participation.
The programme focused on educating students about the rights, duties, and responsibilities of voters in a democratic country. Students were made aware of the value of free and fair elections and the need for ethical and informed voting.
As part of the programme, Essay Writing, Poetry, and Drawing competitions were organized to encourage students to express their ideas on voter awareness and democratic values. The students participated actively and displayed their creativity and understanding of responsible citizenship.
The programme was graced by the District Election In-charge Officer, Mrs. Nivethitha, who addressed the gathering and emphasized voter registration, electoral awareness, and responsible voting. She also distributed prizes to the winners of the competitions and motivated the students to actively participate in the democratic process.
Finally, all students took a pledge to uphold democratic values, exercise their voting rights responsibly, and encourage others to participate in elections. The programme concluded successfully with active participation from students and faculty members, creating strong awareness about the importance of voting.
